Fazenda Brasileira romântica - Romantic Brazilian Farm

Este diorama de três metros de largura e 50 cm de profundidade mostra uma versão mais romântica de uma fazenda Brasileira.

This diorama is three meters large and 50 cm deep. It shows a romantic version of a Brazilian farm.

Estrada no interior do Brasil - Brazilian road in the countryside

Este diorama tem largura de 3 metros e profundidade de 50 cm. Ele mostra uma estrada Brasileira fora da cidade numa forma um pouco romantizada. O grande caminhão Mercedes vermelho alias é um modelo Siku Junior. A empresa Alemã Siku fabricou uma serie de modelos de caminhões e tratores em escala 1:20 do final dos anos 90 até mais ou menos 2006/2007. Eram de plástico rígido e bem detalhados. Parece que, faltou sucesso nas vendas, possivelmente pelo fato que outros fabricantes - principalmente Bruder - fabricavam uma grande variedade destes brinquedos mais detalhados ainda em escala 1:16. Entretanto, este caminhão se encaixa muito bem nos meus modelos em escala 1:18.  A banca de frutas é feita de bambu e folhas de pinheiro como telhado. A casinha azul foi feita com papel Paraná colado em cima de uma estrutura de madeira. Também neste caso o telhado é de folhas de pinheiro. A BMW Isetta (no Brasil: Romisetta)mostrada na segunda e terceira foto é da Revell, bem como o Messerschmitt Kabinenroller ao lado da VW Kombi (ver foto 12). Este Messerschmitt Kabinenroller foi fabricado pela empresa de aviação Messerschmitt e é parecido com um cockpit de um avião da 2.a guerra mundial. Nestes anos depois da guerra as empresas Alemães era proibidos de fabricar aviões. Assim a Messerschmitt modificou os planos construção de carroçarias de aviões para fabricar um carro apropriado para o bolso dos Alemães nesta época. 

That diorama is 3 meters large and 50 cm deep. It shows a Brazilian country road in a romantic way. E.g. you will not find all these cars on a typical road in the countryside. On the other side someone selling money safes at the roadside really happens. A little bit outside São Paulo you will find someone with a Pickup selling safes frequently. I do not know why but it must be worth the effort. It is also very common that you find barracks with someone selling fruits or someone having a small restaurant. The Mercedes on the left side of the diorama is a 1:20 plastic scale model from Siku. The German toy company Siku had a 1:20 scale series of trucks and tractors from the end of the 90s through 2006 or 2007. The toys were made of rigid plastic and fairly detailed. However, it seems that with that line of toys Siku could not compete successfully mainly against Bruder which had a bigger and a little bit more sophisticated  range of such toys at scale 1:16. Anyway, that truck fits very well into my collection of 1:18 model cars. The fruit kiosk on the left side of the diorama is made of bamboo  with a roof made of pine tree needles. The small light blue house on the right side of the diorama is made of cardboard glued on a structure of wood. Its roof also is made of pine tree needles.  The BMW Isetta (Revell model) shown in the second and third picture actually still can be found in Brazil, however more in oldtimer clubs than on a road. In Brazil it was sold by the name of Romisetta. The Messerschmitt Kabinienroller (see close-up in picture 12), also a Revell model, placed to the right of the VW Kombi was never sold in Brazil but it existed in Germany. After WWII German companies were forbidden to produce planes. The aviation company Messerschmitt modified its designs of cockpits and produced a small car appropriate for the income situation of Germans in the early 1950s. That is why the car remembers a little bit a WWII fighter airplane. It is a Revell model too.

Fazenda Brasileira moderna - Modern Brazilian farm

Chegou a hora para mostrar mais um diorama de um tema puramente civil. Este diorama de uma fazenda Brasileira moderna para criação de cavalos tem cumprimento de 5 metros, 60 cm (primeiros 2 metros da esquerda) e 50 cm de profundidade e 50 cm de altura. Com exceção da pequena casa no meio do diorama, todos os prédios e estruturas eu mesmo fiz com madeira e papelão. A pequena casa é da Playmobil. Como sempre, o diorama é em escala 1:18. Um problema era como fazer um campo de cereais. O campo de cereais é feito com seis folhas de grama sintética de 60 milímetros de altura, cada folha 30 cm x 25 cm. Pintei-os com tinta spray de cor bege. Os cavalos são principalmente da Schleich.  O diorama inclui um total de 28 figuras humanas.

- Colheitadeira Claas Lexion da Bruder

Os veiculos do fabricante de brinquedos Alemã Bruder são na sua maioria em escala 1:16. Mesmo assim usei-os neste diorama pelas seguintes razões: Foi possível posicionar eles numa forma que, este desvio de escala não apareça tanto. Além disso, as figuras em escala 1:18 cabiam muito bem. Os brinquedos Bruder são de plástico rígido e de uma excelente qualidade. Quase passam por modelos. A empresa Italiana Agritec não existe mais.  Hoje em dia somente a Schuco produz veículos agrícolas em escala 1:18. São de uma qualidade muito boa, mas muito caros. Como existem tratores e reboques nos mais variados tamanhos, somente um especialista poderia descobrir que, os modelos Bruder usados são um pouco grande.

Os cavalos da Schleich tem escala 1:20, mas também aqui os itens de qualidade de produto e posicionamento me levaram a usa-as.

As últimas fotografias mostram um celeiro grande em cor vermelho colocado em substituição do celeiro menor de cor ocre.

It is time to show one more diorama  with  a purely civilian theme.  This diorama of a modern Brazilian farm  is 5 meters large, 60 cm (first two meters from the left) and 50 cm deep and 50 cm high.  Except for the small house in the middle of the diorama, I produced all buildings and structures using wood and cardboard. The small house  is a Playmobil model. As always the whole diorama is at scale 1:18. One problem was to find materials representing the grain field. The solution was the use six sheets of synthetic grass of 60 mm in height, each sheet measuring  30cm by 25cm. I colored them a little bit beige.  The horses are mainly from the German manufacturer Schleich.

The diorama includes a total of 28 human figures.

The models of the German toy manufacturer Bruder shown in this diorama are mostly at scale 1:16. Despite of that diverging scale I used them for the following reasons: I could position them in a way that this difference in scale does not appear too much. Besides, the scale 1:18 figures match very well with these vehicles. The Bruder toys are made of rigid plastic and they are of an excellent quality. They have almost the quality of models. The Italian model manufacturer Agritec does not exist any more. Today only the German manufacturer Schuco produces agricultural models at scale 1:18. They are of excellent quality but very expensive. As tractors and trailers are produced in a large variety of sizes, only an expert would recognize that the models used in this diroama are a little bit out of scale.

The horse models of the German manufacturer Schleich are at scale 1:20 but here also the product quality and the positioning caused me to use them.

The last pictures show a larger red barn that replaced the smaller ochre-colored one.
